Who are we?

We are Captains Jeff and Liz Armor and have been high school educators for over 15 years. In addition to having taught Physical Science, math, English, ESOL, and music, we have been teaching adventure based educational programs including rock climbing and wilderness survival for over 12 years. Capt. Liz is presently teaching at St. Margaret's School in Tappahannock, Virginia.

We both hold United States Coast Guard Master 50 ton Captain’s licenses and are Red Cross certified in First Aid and CPR. We are Cavern certified SCUBA divers and have also parachuted out of perfectly good airplanes.

In 1993 we began a 14 month cruise aboard our 28’ sloop Different Drum, crossing the Atlantic Ocean twice and logging over 10,000 nautical miles beneath our keel.
