Young Women's: Voyage of Discovery
Bahamas!
Voyage of Discovery is an 7 day, live aboard, sailing program for college age women. It takes place in the Bahamian Out Islands aboard the 46' sailing vessel, Boundless. This adventure based program is geared toward women interested in learning to sail while exploring paradise both above and below the water!
You will learn to sail and handle Boundless while traveling to the mostly uninhabited, tropical, Bahamian islands of the Exumas. As with all of our programs, this is a hands-on week of adventure. You'll steer, navigate, raise and lower anchors and sails, fix meals and participate in the total operation of a 46' cutter/ketch. Each day we'll travel to new islands, sail, eat, sleep, laugh, swim and snorkel in crystal clear water filled with colorful tropical fish and corals. There will be plenty of time to sunbathe and explore miles of deserted beaches and watch the stars at night too! Each evening you can relax on deck and watch the sunset as Boundless rests at anchor for the night.
If you're looking for the time, place and opportunity to be yourself, laugh, make deep friendships, learn new things, explore and discover, and want something beyond "booze cruises", tacky beach contests and the typical "spring break mentality" vacation, all while living in an accepting and encouraging atmosphere, then the Young Women's Voyage of Discovery was designed particularly with you in mind!
