“Thanks so much for this great
experience! Maybe I will live on a
sailboat. I think Watts Island is really cool. The Egret that
let
me pet it was so soft and cute! I really enjoyed going up the mast
- I think you need a bigger one!” Heather
“Thanks for having us on your beautiful boat. It was a great amount of fun to be able to go on my first uninhabited island. Hope to see you again soon". Kristen
"Thanks for an awesome trip! Everything was just incredible and I know the
kids will have great memories for the rest of their lives. It's amazing how much exposure and
learning you can bring to the kids. You have a great program. I can't thank you
enough! Doug McMinn (Marine Science, Christchurch School)
“Here's Ioana from Romania! Captain and Ms. Armor, I really
enjoyed pumping the toilet and using 1 spoon of water for the
shower! I'm happy being here, watching the stars every night,
enjoying the sunsets and the sunrises...” Ioana
“Although I got sea-sick, still had lots of fun. And now I
know
how I can feel better on a boat.....SINGING.
I really learned how to sail, how to make knots,
how to anchor, and how to save water!!!
Maybe one day you really sail to Taiwan and find me.”
Ting
"The memories will last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing
your home, your knowledge, and your friendship. Thanks again for an invaluable experience for
me and the girls!"
Teacher at North Cross School
“I learned a lot this week and I wish that all six of us could stay
longer. We'll always have Sea Week, eh?” Hannah
“I learned so many things and can't wait for next year!” Mary Reid
"Hey guys! Thank you for treating us respectfully and giving us responsibilities. We can trust each other again. Thanks so much! We all had lots of extreme fun! Laura
"You let us into your home (boat) and let us have responsibilities. I mean, at home, I never make dinner because I think I'll mess it up, and then we'll end up eating at 9 PM. But I learned that I can make spaghetti, salad, and bread. I can cook! Woo-hoo. I don't think I have ever had that much fun taking a shower. Sud up, jump in, wash off, climb ladder, shampoo on, jump in, wash it out, climb ladder. That was cool! Brittany Lee
"Thanks for an unforgettable trip! Not only did I have a blast but I learned an unbelievable amount about sailing and life. I really hope to come back next year. Tory
"Wow! What a fantastic program. Thanks for keeping the group in high spirits the whole time. We all had a FAB time and look forward to doing it again. Teacher at North Cross School
“Before I went on this trip I had never gone sailing or snorkeling
or seen real iguanas up close. I was in a dream seeing the
beautiful coral reef and the islands with no people...just iguanas.”
Andrea
"This trip taught me a lot of things about life I wouldn't have learned for many years to come. Thank you." Katie
"I had the best trip of my life on this boat. Thank you so much for teaching us about sailing and life. I will always remember 8 pumps, 5 secs, and 5 pumps for the rest of my life." Charlotte
“I enjoyed all the cuts and bruises we got. The food was great.” Seth
"Thanks for everything, you guys are really good teachers and friends." Pittman
" I never thought that I would be sailing to uninhabited islands, search for buried treasure, and run from huge snakes. Thank you again for your hospitality, kindness, and relentless guidance." Neil
"The last cockpit meeting is the most unforgettable thing. When all of us wrote what our goals are. Some of them might be impossible but others could be done...maybe. This is only the beginning. Kate
"Words are not adequate to truly express my sense of peace, serenity, and goodwill found within your lovely 42' world! I am amazed and so pleased with the camaraderie among my guys, which I attribute to your ability to establish an open, caring, supportive, serious, but fun-loving atmosphere. You are gifted teachers and I have absolutely loved our week with you. Will Dorsey Head of Calverton Middle School, MD
we left our civilization
everything we have ever known
we left behind our wardrobe
our hairdryer and yes
even our telephones
we all had our doubts and worries
but we soon got settled
then we came to the foredeck
and saw about 20 sea nettles
we started on our journey
and ventured through the sea
our doubts soon vanished
as we felt the cool sea breeze
we were never afraid to
share with you our many songs
and I had a feeling
ya'll were hoping they didn't last long
I wish we could stay longer
but yes we have to leave
we have to leave the isolation
the singing and sea breeze
but before we go there's
more thing I have to say
thank you for sharing your home
and sailing with us along the bay
Victoria
I only wish the trip was longer. I never
thought I would enjoy every single part of it.
We all had our many laughs (I think the whole trip!). Don't let the
White Squirrel get
you! PS Remember the shark that came up to the boat. Jessica
Thanks for the great adventures in the Bahamas "Mon". I wish this trip was at least another week long. Thanks for the rope to make the monkey's fist. The stars were great that last night. Jason
I told ya'll Id be back! This week was even more awesome
than I ever expected it to be. I can't tell you the impact
it has had on me. I've learned so much. I wish it didn't have
to end.
Gazing out across the water, falling asleep looking at the hundreds of
stars...
Don't you just love the memories?
Whitney (Bottle of Sunshine)
This week was the best Spring Break I've ever
had. You all are such
wonderful hosts and friends. I can't imagine experiencing the
Bahamas
any other way. Thank you so much!!! Bailey
This is the coolest sailing trip I've ever been on (in fact, it's
the only one I've been on, but it was still awesome!!!). Ilia
Words only begin to express what a wonderful time I've had sailing
with you
this past week. I truly admire you for sharing yourselves with
children the way you do - I know "my" six boys grew in
countless ways
this week. It was a trip they won't soon (if ever)
forget. But enough about them! I
learned and grew a lot myself! Steve Cobb
Louisville Collegiate, KY
Thank you Capt. Jeff for teaching me all about
knots and anchors. I loved learning and I hope if I ever get to come back you will teach me
more. Tank you Capt. Liz for helping me find something to look at while steering. This
was the best week I have ever had in my life. Francy
Thank you for such a wonderfully amazing trip. You've changed
me
with sailing and all these wonderful things. I hope to know you
forever because people like you who come into my life I will
I feel special because I think I got to experience
the Bahamas in a way that not many people get to,
and I would love to come back. Michael
Wow! I'm back just like I said I
would!! I hope to see you this summer in the "Bay".
Well, got to be living in the NOW so I will see you in the future
but we can't think about that NOW because it's not in the NOW but in the future the NOW
will be the past! Mara
